
The broadcasting world mourns the loss of a veteran.
British radio presenter Tim Gough he died on October 24 at age 55 while on air during his breakfast show. According to a press release from GenX Radio Suffolk, Gough suffered a suspected heart attack at 7:50 am at his home in Lackford, Suffolk.
“Tim was a very experienced and talented broadcaster with an army of fans for his daily show,” the statement said. “This is a very sad loss for radio and Suffolk County. The entire GenX Radio family is shocked and devastated beyond words.”
james hazelmanaging director of GenX Radio Suffolk, described Gough as a seasoned broadcaster of more than four decades and said the radio station was “heartbroken by the news” of his passing.
“Knowing Tim personally, as I have done so closely for over 30 years, was meeting a warm, caring, funny guy who was very dear to me and my family,” Hazell continued. “I know his family is immensely comforted by the hundreds of love messages they have received, asking for privacy at this devastating time.”
