A British tourist has died after falling from the third floor of a hotel in the Ibizan resort of San Antonio.
The 22-year-old man was pronounced dead at the scene. The alarm was given around 11:00 this morning.
Well-placed sources said that he fell from the balcony of a room where he was with a friend. The friend, whose nationality is unknown, is being questioned by the police.
A police informant said: ‘This incident is still under investigation. All lines of investigation are being explored and it is still too early to say exactly what happened.

‘Ideally located a few meters from the bus station, it has spacious bright rooms and a fantastic terrace-pool with a snack bar where you can continue soaking up the atmosphere.’
A spokesman for a regional government-run emergency coordination center said: “We received the first call at 10:50 am local time.”
“Calls that came in said that a man in his 20s had fallen out of a hotel in San Antonio.
“Police and paramedics were mobilized as part of the emergency response.”
A health source said: “The man had already gone into cardiac arrest when the first ambulance arrived.
Health personnel tried to save his life, but were unable to do so.

A receptionist at the hotel where the incident occurred said: “The police have told us not to say anything and in any case we don’t really know what happened.”
“It happened relatively recently and is still being investigated.”
The dead man is believed to have landed on the road in front of a tattoo parlor.
The Civil Guard agents hid the place where his body ended up with some sheets spread out along the road and prevented people from getting too close by cordoning it off with police tape.
Initial reports said the British tourist had fallen from a fifth-floor apartment, but well-placed sources said he had been on the third-floor balcony of a room where he was believed to be staying.
A 24-year-old British woman died in September last year after jumping from a balcony of the Hotel Rosamar in Cala de Bou, a short drive from San Antonio.
Her unidentified partner is understood to have been with her at the time. She reportedly told police that she had fallen about 30 feet from a second-story balcony.
