Britney Spears made amends with her ‘sweet mom’ Lynne Spears after they held a 30-minute peace talk at her Los Angeles home.
Lynne flew in from Louisiana on Wednesday in an attempt to heal the family rift. after years of dissension among them derived from the guardianship of 13 years under which Britney lived.
The couple are believed to have had no contact since the conservatorship, controlled by Jamie Spears, was abolished in November 2021.
After Lynne was photographed waiting outside the pop star’s home, Britney broke her silence about the meeting, taking to Instagram on Thursday to give fans an update.
Along with a childhood snapshot of herself, Britney revealed that she felt “blessed that we could try to make things right,” noting that “time heals all wounds.”

Britney wrote: ‘My sweet mum showed up at my door yesterday after 3 years…it’s been so long. In the family there are always things that need to be resolved… but time heals all wounds!!!
‘And after being able to communicate what I’ve held back for a long time, I feel so blessed that we were able to try to make things RIGHT! I love you so much! [sic]’
According to TMZ, the …Baby One More Time hitmaker didn’t know when to expect Lynne, but she knew she was in town to see her and let her into the house, where her husband Sam Asghari was also present, to catch up. . .
Insiders told the outlet that “the ice between mother and daughter is thawing” and that the pair had exchanged text messages before Lynne came to visit.
The source added: “Lynne is committed to making things right with her daughter.”
The reunion comes months after Lynne apologized to her daughter for “anything and everything.”
Writing about conservatorship in October, Lynne wrote: ‘I’m so sorry for your pain! I’ve been sorry for years!
‘I love you so much and I miss you! Britney, deep down you know how much I love and miss you! I apologize for anything and everything that hurt you!’

Lynne also begged the singer to unblock her so they could talk in person, prompting Britney to tell Lynne to “fuck off”.
Britney ranted on Instagram: ‘For 13 years, I had to meet with doctors weekly to bring up my past, which made things worse! As for my entire family, including my brother, sister, cousins, aunts, uncles, and damn, the entire audience…they were either high or drunk!
‘I was the bloody Santa who was afraid to move or knew my dad would put me somewhere if I didn’t cooperate… even in America, the land of the free! Years go by and he keeps putting me in a psychiatric hospital!!!! No fucking person stood up for me! [sic]’
After her more general tirade about her family, Britney then directed her anger at Lynne.
She wrote: ‘Mom accept your apology and fuck off! And to all the doctors for fucking with my mind… I pray they all burn in hell!!! Kiss my mother f****** a**!!!! [sic]’
Britney had previously refused to see Lynne after she flew to Los Angeles in November 2021 in her first attempt to make amends.
“Britney didn’t even let Lynne into her house,” a source told Page Six. She is furious with her. Lynne tried to visit her for several days, but Britney just shut her down.
