Fears over the disappearance of Brit, 20, who disappeared in the Netherlands ‘after suffering a psychotic breakdown and hallucinations’

Fears are growing over a missing British man who went missing in the Netherlands after his family said he suffered a psychotic break and hallucinations.
Thomas Delafay, 20, also known as Taiga Akabane, was last seen on the night of June 11, after traveling to the Netherlands two days earlier on June 9.
The Plymouth native was last seen at the Dijklander hospital in Hoorn, 20 miles north of Amsterdam.
Delafay had traveled to the country with her boyfriend Tom Novelle to visit a mutual friend, according to Plymouth Live, who spoke with her sister Holly Delafay.
She said her brother had suffered a psychotic break and hallucinations, and said Dutch police are treating her brother as a ‘level one high-risk missing person’.

Thomas is understood to have been taken to the hospital around 11:30 p.m. Sunday, but never entered the building after arriving.
It is also believed that he is without his mobile phone, money or his passport.
Thomas has a distinctive look. According to his sister, he is approximately 5 feet 10 inches tall, with recent photos showing him sporting shiny purple and black hair.
He is of a slim build, with Holly saying on Facebook that he was last seen wearing black jeans, an oversized black hoodie with writing on it at the time he went missing.
“Taiga (Thomas), 20, has been missing from Hoorn since June 11, 2023. He was last seen at Dijklander Ziekenhuis, Hoorn,” Dutch police said in a statement.
He has left in an unknown direction. He can be recognized by his purple hair, short on the sides and long on top. He was wearing a black hoodie with letters all over it, black pants, and black shoes. He has a small posture.
Thomas’ case number is 2023123185. Anyone with information on his whereabouts is asked to contact the local police using the case number on +31629608595.
On her Facebook page, Holly asked her friends and the public for information.
“This is my brother Taiga Akabane, known as Thomas/Tom De-La-Fay,” he wrote.
‘Please could everyone share to spread the word? Please contact me and the Netherlands police if you have any information on him. Thank you.’
