
New Delhi. A high-level meeting was called in the Ministry of Home Affairs on Tuesday regarding the server hacking of All India Institute of Medical Sciences (AIIMS), Delhi. In this meeting which lasted for about one and a half hour, it was discussed in which direction the investigation is progressing so far. In the meeting, representatives of all concerned agencies including Delhi Police, Ministry of Information Technology, AIIMS Administration, NIA Computer Emergency Response System told the government that all steps are being taken to make the server operational smoothly. Senior officers of IB, officers associated with AIIMS Administration, NIC officers, senior officers of NIA, Delhi Police and Home Ministry senior officers were present in the meeting.
The breach in the server of AIIMS Delhi was detected on the morning of 23 November. It is feared that the data of about 3-4 crore patients may be affected due to the breach. The patient care services in the emergency unit, out-patients, admitted patients and laboratory section are being managed paper-wise due to the server down, sources said.
