This is the dramatic moment a plane crashed into a road before erupting into a fireball during a test flight in Nigeria.
The Jabiru J430 light aircraft operated by Air First Hospitality & Tours was flying over the busy area of Oba Akran in the Nigerian capital Lagos when it was forced to make an emergency landing on Tuesday at around 3pm local time.
Shocking footage shows how the plane struck a light post as it nosedived towards the road before bursting into flames near a fuel station, sending terrified onlookers fleeing for safety.
The two people onboard – the pilot and a passenger – somehow survived the crash, The Nigerian Safety Investigation Bureau said.
Footage shows the pilot clambering from the wreckage and walking away while wounded.

The crash caused traffic gridlock as smoke filled the highway, with firefighters battling the flames.
Lagos State Emergency Management Agency Permanent Secretary Dr. Olufemi Oke-Osanyintolu said those onboard were taken to a hospital.
Earlier, Oke-Osanyintolu said a helicopter had crash-landed on a road in front of the United Bank for Africa building in Lagos, and that four people were taken to hospital.
But Ibrahim Farinloye, acting coordinator for the South-West Zonal Office of the Nigerian Emergency Management Agency, clarified: ‘There were two people on board.
‘The control tower confirmed that there were only two people on board, not four. Three craters on the spot were created by impacts on the ground.’
The NSIB is investigating the accident to determine the probable cause and to provide safety recommendations.
Members of the public were seen running away from the scene when the plane exploded
