In 2021, Jana Kramer and Mike Caussin finalized their divorce after an ugly breakup. And, frankly, a troubled marriage.
It’s hard to think of their time together without Mike’s rampant cheating coming to mind. He defined their union.
That is in the past. But Jana’s feelings are very raw and very present.
In fact, it got to a point where an offhand comment from RHOC Student Meghan King had Jana furious. Why did she call Mike “hot” after everything she’s done?
For many years, Jana Kramer turned lemons into lemonade.
The lemons? The rampant deception and alleged “sex addiction” of Mike Caussin, a condition that is largely unacknowledged by the psychiatric community.
And the lemonade? Well, Jana monetized her marital struggles. Interviews, a book and more. Ultimately, though, the fight outweighed the benefits.
But Jana still has it. whine podcast. And, this week, he spoke about Meghan King.
“There was something she said in our DMs that really pissed me off,” Jana admitted on Oct. 31.
He characterized Meghan as an “acquaintance,” not a friend.
But apparently, Jana was sending him messages about staying “strong” in the midst of her divorce.
As we know, Meghan was married for a very short time to Cuffe Biden Owens.
It didn’t work. After two months.
And, of course, Meghan’s other ex-husband was Jim Edmonds.
The two broke up in 2019, and it was much more complicated than things with Cuffe.
Meghan and Jim not only shared children, but they had a lot to say about each other.
Who do we bring up Meghan’s exes?
Because of her comment that has Jana furious… nine months later.
“At least your ex is hot,” Jana recalled Meghan writing to her.
“So I say, ‘I’m sorry that bothered me,’” Jana shared on her podcast.
She continued, “’I would never say your ex is sexy, especially knowing how much he hurt you. Anyway, have a great day.’”
Jana then explained, “It just pissed me off, and we haven’t spoken since.”
that’s not good luck with sharknado 18 or whateverbut it is definitely a polite way of expressing hostility.
“First, what does being hot have to do with it?” Jane demanded.
“Because me, when a man disrespects a woman, you’re not hot, ever,” he announced. “You finished”.
“I’ve dated some very attractive men,” Jana boasted.
“The moment you lie to me,” he declared, “you are the ugliest human being in a room to me.”
Jana continued, “Or cheat, you’re ugly to me.” By her standards, she spent years married to a famous “ugly” man.
“And I would never say, ‘At least he was hot,’” Jana insisted.
She added: “The itchiness has nothing to do with it.”
For the record, Jana said that Meghan later apologized in her direct messages.
But Jana didn’t seem to be in a forgiving mood. He ended up upstaging her.
“She says, ‘I’m sorry, Jana, I was trying to lighten it up. I thought he was a handsome guy when I saw him on your feed, I was trying to find a silver lining,'” she recalled.
Jana suggested, “I would have said, ‘At least you have beautiful children.’ That’s the positive side.”
Meghan joined Jana as a guest on that same podcast. There, she tried to explain.
“I guess I can see what you’re saying, but in my opinion, I was trying to pay you a compliment,” Meghan reasoned.
“And,” he continued, “I was trying to downplay the situation.”
“We both know it sucks. So it’s like, okay, we both have these s-tty situations,” Meghan continued.
“But at least it’s good,” he explained, “and I said that because I don’t know, I thought it was a compliment.”
Meghan added: “I thought that was a good thing to say.”
In a very honest moment, Meghan expressed that she felt Jana “overreacted” or perhaps “felt emotional” at the time.
“And I’m sorry if I hurt your feelings, and I apologize. That was never my intention.”
“But I certainly wasn’t making fun of anything.”
Jana expressed her appreciation. But she reiterated that her children, Jolie Rae and Jace Joseph, are the silver lining, not Mike’s charm.
“For me, it’s like we have our children and I’m grateful that it was the positive side of that relationship,” she said.
Jana concluded, “And I’m never going to take him away as a father and I’m glad he’s the father…I have to have a silver lining.”
