Kanye West escorted out of Skechers office after showing up unannounced

Skechers executives escorted Kanye West out of the company’s corporate offices in Los Angeles after the rapper and fashion designer showed up “unannounced and uninvited” on Wednesday.

In a statement issued after the incident, the shoe brand said it “has no intention of working with West” and that the artist, now known as Ye, was involved in “unauthorized filming.”

“He and his group” were removed from the building after a “brief conversation,” the company added.

Skechers’ comments come a day after Adidas ended its long-standing association with Ye, following a series of anti-Semitic comments by Ye in recent weeks.

“We condemn his recent divisive comments and do not condone anti-Semitism or any other form of hate speech,” Skechers said.

Ye has spread anti-Semitic conspiracy theories in interviews and on social media. And earlier this month he caused outrage by unveiling T-shirts at Paris Fashion Week that featured the slogan “White Lives Matter,” a phrase associated with white supremacists.

Ye has become increasingly isolated as more brands distance themselves from him.

Gap, which ended its partnership with Ye in September, is now taking immediate action to remove Yeezy Gap products from its stores and shut down YeezyGap.com. Balenciaga has also cut ties with him, and the end of his lucrative Adidas deal means Ye is reportedly no longer a billionaire. It is said that his former CAA talent agency no longer represents him.

California political leaders also joined the chorus in condemning Ye’s behavior this week after recent anti-Semitic incidents in Los Angeles, some of which made specific reference to Ye’s comments about Jews, which unnerved residents.
