Nike Football has just released its latest football boot, the Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 9 Elite CR7 FG, and it pays homage to Cristiano Ronaldo’s football career.
The Manchester United striker’s collaboration with Nike began in 2003 and he became the third athlete in the company’s history to receive a lifetime contract in 2016. Until then, however, the six-time Ballon d’Or winner has worn some iconic football boots like the Nike Mercurial Vapor ‘Chrome’, which he wore early in his career, and the ‘Orange Peel’ version of the same boot he wore when he scored his first Manchester United hat-trick at home in 2008 after Newcastle.
Now coming in a White/Concord/Medium Blue/Metallic Copper colourway, these latest football boots take inspiration from the Portuguese icon to show what can be achieved when you dedicate yourself to the art of beautiful play. Also designed with a copper trim and enamel coating, every detail represents the culmination of Ronaldo’s legacy, with each graphic symbolizing how CR7 carries the history of his boots, along with his nation’s legacy, to the fifth World Cup in history. his career. .
Rounding out the design, the shoes also come with a soccer-specific Zoom Air unit, allowing players to maintain high speeds on the pitch during every game. Tri-Star studs are also used to provide multi-directional traction with every step, allowing players to change direction quickly and with confidence. Flyknit is used to wrap the ankle and the upper is made from Vaporposite+ which uses a grippy mesh for optimal ball control at high speeds.
You can see the new Nike Zoom Mercurial Superfly 9 Elite CR7 FG above, and it’s available now on the official Nike site.
