A Texas teenager murdered his parents and two siblings because he thought they were “cannibals” and “planned to eat them,” according to an affidavit.
Cesar Olalde, 18, faces capital murder charges in the deaths of his parents, older sister and younger brother during an incident at their family home in Nash, Texas, on Tuesday.
According to an affidavit filed Wednesday, Olalde is said to have shot and killed his parents Reuben and Aida, as well as his older sister Lisbet and brother Oliver.
Documents indicate that Olalde shot all four of them and then dragged their bodies into a bathroom on the property before barricading himself in the house.
It is also claimed that César made statements at the time of the incident that he had killed his family because they were cannibals and were going to eat him.

Authorities say Joseph Flieder told police Olalde had said he killed his family, after Flieder stopped by his house to check on his coworker, Lisbet, who hadn’t shown up for work.
Flieder told police that other friends and family members of the Olaldes had called their local church seeking information on their whereabouts.
Flieder said when he and his wife showed up at the residence there was no answer at the door and another member of the Olalde family arrived on the scene.
The two decided they would break into the property to check on the family and were confronted as they entered by Olalde, who was allegedly brandishing a firearm.
After his wife left the residence, Flieder told police that Cesar made statements that he killed his family because they were cannibals and had plans to eat him.
It is also claimed that Olalde frequently pointed a firearm at Flieder during the exchange and also pulled a knife on him.
Flieder managed to escape from the property before Olalde was taken into custody after police arrived on the scene and surrounded the property.
Inside the residence, authorities said they found each of the victims shot multiple times and killed inside a bathroom.
