There have been rumors for quite some time (not only recently) that Henry Cavill will appear as Superman in The Flash, and according to Giant Freakin Robot, we have Dwayne Johnson to thank for it.The site offers that Henry Cavill is being brought back as Superman at the request of Dwayne Johnson who convinced David Zaslav and Warner Bros. According to rumors, the original plan for The Flash was to have the Sasha Calle Supergirl become the new “Superman” of the DCEU.In the movie, an alternate universe Zod (Michael Shannon is confirmed for The Flash as is Antje Traue) would kill the baby Kal-El on Krypton before he escapes to Earth and becomes Superman.
