A six-year-old boy is lucky to be alive after the harness on his zip line snapped and sent him crashing into an artificial lake at an amusement park in the northeastern Mexican state of Nuevo León on Sunday.
The terrifying incident was caught on video by the family and shows Cesar Moreno ziplining 40 feet above the artificial lake on the Amazonian Expedition in Fundidora Park.
A grown man can be seen sliding past Moreno and leading him down the driveway when the seat belt suddenly breaks.
The man comes to a complete stop, and several people in the background scream before the recording ends.

A good Samaritan jumped into the pool to save him from drowning and had trouble making it to shore before the boy’s brother and his sister’s boyfriend pulled them to safety.

César Moreno rests on a bench in Fundidora Park in Monterrey, Mexico, after suffering a zip line accident. Activities at the amusement park have been suspended while investigators investigate what caused the harness to break before the 6-year-old fell into an artificial lake.
The boy’s sister, Nataly Moreno, revealed on Facebook that a good Samaritan jumped into the lake to save her little brother from sinking and nearly drowned doing so.
But her brother and her boyfriend ran to the lake and took them to a safe place.
She alleged that Fundidora Park did not have the necessary personnel to rescue her brother and the man who tried to help him.
“The park does not have people trained for this type of situation, there was no one to help him get him out of the water,” said Nataly Moreno. ‘Terrible park, it’s amazing how disastrous things can happen in the blink of an eye. I just thank God that my Caesar is fine.
César Moreno’s relative, Mayra Hernández, stated that none of the park workers were trained to swim.
“Because we were close, we were able to get him to safety since a relative jumped in to pull him out of the water,” he wrote on Facebook. ‘Due to poor staff training, everything could have been worse. The harness burst in the middle of the trip!

Civil Protection of Nuevo León said in a statement that the child was not injured and was able to walk with his parents and family.
Fundidora Park announced on Monday that activities at all attractions were suspended and that they were reviewing the responsibility of the company that operates the zip line.
The park management added that “it will maintain communication with the child’s family to provide institutional support and attend to everything related to the situation.”
‘In the new era of this Park, the priority is the experience and safety of our visitors,’ said Fundidora Park. “So, we will continue to implement the necessary measures to ensure that companies rigorously comply with their contracts.”
