Last year, Tiffany Franco finally decided to divorce Ronald Smith.
But leaving her toxic ex wasn’t an easy matter. These two parted bitterly and very publicly, only to reconcile. And again. And again.
The fact that Tiffany returned to South Africa last year, only to find out that Ronald was cheating on both her and her girlfriend, caught viewers off guard.
Tiffany says that she can explain why she gave him that last chance. But she is not a very healthy reason.
Tiffany Franco took to Instagram this week to make a confession.
On the one hand, it is the answer to a question that many fans have been asking for many months.
But at the same time… some thoughts should stay private, you know? Not everything it needs to become a confession. Not even in the age of social media.
In the Instagram video, Tiffany wrote a caption as her face reacted with deserved embarrassment.
“That time I got my ex-husband back just to show his girlfriend that he liked me better,” she wrote.
Tiffany, no! That’s a terrible reason for that kind of life decision, even if you don’t have kids! And you have two!
“Looking back I feel so stupid lol,” Tiffany wrote in the caption next to her post. Yes very.
He then invited his fans, followers, and detractors to “use the comment section to roast me.”
Maybe Tiffany just wanted to share this confession for closure. Maybe it was just bait for social media engagement.
Or… maybe Tiffany wanted to take over the narrative to some degree.
“Woman recklessly reconciles numerous times with misbehaving male child” is not a great look.
While “the woman makes up with him this last time to prove a point to another woman” sounds deeply mean-spirited, Tiffany might feel it casts her in a different light. Or, at least, that she hits Ronald.
According to previous statements by Tiffany, she came to South Africa to see Ronald and to bring her daughter, Carley, to visit him.
Fan-favorite son Daniel didn’t join her this time. Daniel is older, and although he has bonded with Ronald, one assumes that he has picked up on his dysfunctional dynamics. (Besides, you know, he has school and stuff)
However, it was not just a custody visit with his young daughter. Tiffany and Ronald were giving their marriage an incredible and unjustifiable new lease of life.
According to Tiffany, she had just arrived in South Africa when she ended up on the phone with Ronald’s girlfriend. Oh!
The girlfriend had thought that Tiffany was only there to bring Carley to visit. That Tiffany was staying with Ronald’s mom. That is not the truth, because Tiffany had been sharing a bed with Ronald (her husband of hers).
Although Tiffany remained in South Africa for months after this, the marriage ultimately did not survive. Thankfully!
