A Turkish court has sentenced a sacked doctor to six years behind bars after one of his patients died after a botched butt lift.
Defendant Oner Ozsoyeri was found guilty of wrongful death by the First Instance Criminal Court 13 in Buyukcekmece, Istanbul.
The court heard how the ousted GP gave victim Kubra Boyraz rear-end filler injections at his beauty clinic in Beylikduzu on September 19, 2020, despite not having the necessary certification and training to perform the procedure on the 38-year-old woman.
Chilling security camera footage seen during Ozsoyeri’s trial shows his victim walking like a zombie after buttock augmentation.
As she staggers through the clinic reception, two staff members grab her arms and three more walk behind her following the procedure that would soon lead to her death.

The court heard how the ousted GP gave victim Kubra Boyraz (pictured) filler injections in his buttocks at his beauty clinic in Beylikduzu in September 2020.
More footage from a camera outside the clinic shows Kubra being put in the back of a car before being driven home.
She was ‘struggling to speak’ and ‘unwell’, the court heard.
Kubra then lost consciousness that same night before she was rushed to hospital after her condition worsened. She passed away a day later, on September 20.
An autopsy revealed that she died after filler injections in her butt blocked her blood vessels. Silicon was found in his blood and in his lung tissue.
Before the verdict, Ozsoyeri told the court: ‘I am not the one who committed the act. Witnesses also stated that I was not present in the room.
‘My medical license was revoked six months before the incident, not for professional reasons but for other reasons.
‘I was not present at the site in my capacity as a doctor. The deceased person was a patient of Erdal Bey. I am innocent and I ask for acquittal.
He wasn’t even in the room. I did not do the procedure. As a person, I tried to do everything for the individual. I directed her to the hospital, but she refused.

In the photo, police arrest the five suspects believed to be involved in the case in Istanbul. The trial against the other suspects is still ongoing.

Kubra Boyraz, 38, a victim of the fatal botox procedure, appears to be carried home after leaving hospital in Istanbul following the procedure.

During his trial, the court heard how Ozsoyeri had been sued for injuring several cosmetic surgery patients by injecting them with inappropriate substances in 2009.
Ozsoyeri was later sentenced to 5 years, 8 months and 17 years in prison for ‘negligently causing the death of a person’.
The broader case is still ongoing, with co-suspects Erdal Dogruya, Omer Elmali and Bulent B. charged with violation of the Basic Law on Health Services.
The first co-suspect is also charged with knowingly negligent death and treating patients without being a doctor.
