A Ukrainian influencer has come under fire for revealing the location of a field hospital treating wounded troops just hours before it was hit by a deadly Russian airstrike.
Anna Alkhim, who has 600,000 followers on Instagram, posted a plea for help for the clinic in the eastern Ukrainian city of Dnipro, saying wounded Ukrainian soldiers were there.
But hours after it was published on Thursday, a Russian missile attack targeted the field hospital, killing four people and wounding 30 others, including two children aged three and six.
The attack, which left the building a burning pile of rubble, was condemned by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky as a crime against humanity.
In his post, Alkhim said that hospitals 6 and 9 were treating a large number of military personnel.

He reportedly called on his supporters to help the country’s defenders by bringing clothing and food to collection points.
Local media have accused her of divulging information that allowed Russian forces to attack the clinic.
Alkhim then reportedly deleted his post, which contained information deemed confidential about the Ukrainian military and the hospital.
Ukraine has been under martial law since February 2022 and officials have repeatedly warned influencers and the media not to post sensitive information online that could be used by Russia.
After being criticized for sharing the information, the influencer defended herself by saying: “First, I made a post yesterday, because half of the inhabitants of Dnipro had it.”
She added: ‘And let me remind you that I am one of the few influential people who fills out their stories and feeds them with posts about the war.
“I volunteered and supported Ukraine from the first days of the war.”
Alkhim continued: “But you don’t give a shit, because you need to post me on your stupid channels.”
Zelensky condemned the Russian attack as a “crime against humanity”. The Ukrainian president said that a psychological clinic and a veterinary clinic had been attacked, adding: “Only an evil state can fight clinics. There can be no military purpose in this. It’s pure Russian terror.
Regional Governor Serhiy Lysak said a 69-year-old man was killed as he passed the clinic and the body of another man had been pulled from the rubble.

Later, two other men were found dead in the rubble, Lysak said, adding that 30 people were injured, including two children.
Ukraine’s Defense Ministry called the attack a serious war crime under the Geneva Conventions, which lay out how soldiers and civilians should be treated in war.
Moscow has dismissed charges that its soldiers have committed war crimes and denies deliberately targeting civilians, though it has shelled cities across Ukraine since it invaded 15 months ago.
The State Emergency Service of Ukraine said on Friday: “As a result of a missile attack, a three-story building of a medical institution was partially destroyed in the city, followed by a fire, as well as a fire in an adjacent building.
‘The fire in the medical center was extinguished in an area of 1,000 square meters.
‘In the one-story building of the veterinary clinic, the area of the fire was 200 square meters. Rescue units have already taken care of it.
Two people died at the scene and 23 others were injured, including two children born in 2020 and 2017.
“A total of 52 lifeguards and 18 teams from the State Emergency Service intervened to liquidate the consequences.”
Ukrainian authorities have since said the attack claimed the lives of four people.
