An Italian wife stole a doctor’s medical gown to sneak into a hospital ward so she could have sex with her husband.
A startled nurse walked into the emergency room in the northern city of Padua to find the woman frolicking half-naked with her partner on a hospital gurney.
The couple carried out the intimate act despite being surrounded by several other patients at the hospital.
Under questioning, the 40-year-old woman tried to claim that she was part of the medical staff, but was quickly detained and handed over to the police, according to local media.
Doctors at the hospital said the woman, who was allegedly intoxicated, had even removed the cannula from her 31-year-old husband’s hand so he could move more easily.

The woman, who has not been named, had already been removed from the premises once before for harassing staff, according to reports.
In an attempt to re-enter the facility, she stole a doctor’s white coat so she could slip into the restricted ER without question.
The woman was arrested on July 12 and taken to a police station, where she was identified.
The fake doctor now faces charges of receipt of stolen goods, unauthorized practice of a profession and identity theft.
Italian police are still investigating the incident.
