Many PGA Tour stars will sit out this week at the 2022 Butterfield Bermuda Championship, giving lesser-skilled pros a chance to write their defining moments. Fittingly, two winless Tour pros lead the betting favorites according to Bermuda Championship betting odds via BetMGM. This is what you need to know.
Bermuda Championship 2022 odds: This week’s favorites
After an exciting star-studded CJ Cup in which Rory McIlroy retained his title and regained the No. 1 ranking, the PGA Tour heads to Bermuda, where it’s time for some up-and-coming players to shine. Topping the early odds list is Denny McCarthy at +1600. Despite some solid results this season, McCarthy has never won on the PGA Tour, a fact he shares in his career with second-ranked Thomas Detry (+2000).

You’ll have to drop down to third in odds to find the first PGA Tour winner in the field, Seamus Power of Ireland (+2200). Power won the 2021 Barbasol Championship over JT Poston.
A little further down the list is another pro without a PGA Tour win, but one not to be overlooked in your betting, 27-year-old Aaron Rai (+2500). Despite not having a Tour win, Rai has two career DP World Tour wins under his belt making him one of the most successful players on the Bermuda course and at +2500 he is a modest bet.
Bermuda Championship 2022 Odds: Weekly Totals
While there aren’t many current stars this week, there is at least one superstar from the past in the field, and it just so happens that he’s our pick for the long shot of the week: John Daly.
A John Daly movie (!) could be on the way. This is what you can expect
By: Nick Piastowski
The two-time major champion and fan favorite is 56 years old and hasn’t won on the PGA Tour since 2004. But since 2016, Daly has been an integral part of the Champions Tour, where he has performed admirably and has a win to his credit. . In his last participation in the Furyk & Friends event, he finished T19.
Daly, a former PGA and Open champion, regularly plays both events, just as he did in 2022. Despite missing the cut in both, he nearly made it through the weekend at the St Andrews Open, finishing 73-74. with three overs.
The chances of Daly pulling off a comeback victory in Bermuda this week are extremely slim, but given his extremely high odds of +75,000, a historic victory could turn a modest bet into a game-changer for brave bettors and a bet of $10 becomes $7,500. .
